Social Distancing/Keeping Safe Guidelines: Physical distancing is to be maintained at the club, whether entering the courts, during play, or between games. Chairs will be appropriately distanced. There will be signs at the courts. However the clubhouse will remain closed, and the outside water fountain non-functioning. Please bring your own water, balls which are marked with your name, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant. There will be spray bottles with disinfectant or wipes provided on the court for frequently touched surfaces, such as the locks, gate handles, and chairs. I think we all can avoid touching the net and the posts, but those too can be wiped down. The only true contact point within play is the tennis ball, so we are asking players to only pick up their own marked balls, and use their feet or their racquet to push other players balls to them.
Tracing Contacts: The city has asked us to trace who is playing when, which we are going to do. This makes it necessary for members to track their own play times on weekdays and weekends when there is no court supervisor. When there is a supervisor present in the weekday evenings, no self-tracking is needed. The ways to do this will be either to 1. email the club with the date and times of who played (one player in a doubles match can do that), 2. write your information on a form left inside the courts on paper, or 3. online "scheduling" i.e. tracking. Please please comply with this, as we are being threatened with closure if we do not do this.
2020 membership: All memberships will be online at this time. Our preference is an e-transfer to the club email: email@example.com. Or you can pay via PayPal using the website, tennislethbridge.ca, and click the membership tab.
Please see the COVID19 page for more details.
Please see the new booking calendar below. In light of current conditions, the club will require members to book court times for the time-being. This functionality will be restricted to club members only, in order to comply with protocol surrounding record keeping. In the event you experience any challenges using this tool, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
